So the Divine Power was readin my earlier email ;-) We did it...! Whata humdinger ... !
FEDEX now has a TIGER BALM SHIPMENT to Brisbane... Overnight Delivery...!Sweet #$%*^*) revenge...! :)
There are however 3 incidents which happened today :
Michael Clarke should have been reminded hez playing cricket, not rugbyhttp://broadband.indiatimes.com/videoshow/2836268.cms
It's interesting how these things are NOT being played to the gallerywhen the Aussies are in question. This was incident 1.In all my senses that i was at that hour of the night, it lookedobvious to me that after Clarke realised that he cudnt stopped theball, he just pulled Sachin down. He surely thought he wud get awaywith a rubgy tackle. and he did. Much bcos of SRT's willingness totake it lightly. And yes, the cameras didnt even show Michael Clarkeapologizing. But Simon Taufel did speak to SRT then.. Wonder what didthey talk @. But then, the Aussie commentrators know which things to blow out ofproportion and which not to, unlike our Indian commentrators..especially, guys like Srikant & the ever so big mouthed,Sivaramakrishnan.
Incident 2: Sachin's shot, the invention of the summer ( he playedthat in the last test too against lee) & also in cricket, playing theball almost behind him with the bat parallel to the ground and theface of the bat, facing up to the sky.. I have never seen a fieldplacement like pointing had for that shot...a deep third man, a finethird man and a man between the fine third man and the keeper but onthe boundary... :-) Well, coming to the point, When sachin played thatshot, Mitchel Johnson's foot clearly touched the rope while fieldingthe ball.. But the commentrators decided to downplay the whole thing. And they never re-visited it... The 3rd umpire took just 2 shots tocome to this conclusion which was not at all straight-forward.Indian commentrators, are you learning from this ?It's just luck that those 2 runs didn't come into play at the death.
Incident 3: Sreesanth got Hussey to underedge his ball to the keeper (which in my opinion, was the turning point of the run-chase). Theumpire Simon Taufel refers it to the 3rd umpire to see if Dhoni hastaken it cleanly or not. Now here's the fun part : Since it's anAussie 'life' at stake, the 3rd umpire goes the extra step and doesntgive Hussey out on the basis of whether it carried to Dhoni or not..he chooses to go for the Snickometer confirmation... Errr., cansomeone tell us why ? Wasnt he just supposed to tell us if it carriedor not... ? Bloody hell.
I, for one, will NEVER EVER blame our local Indian umpires from nowon. Tendency to incline towards the home team is Omnipresent, ont justin Indian umpires. In such cases, it becomes more blatant. We Indians shudnt be sant-mahatmas when it comes to giving it back, whatever thesituation, cricket or otherwise.
As i said, it's sweet redemption for the Indians... It's upto theIndia media to think before harping on their home team's failures andtake a leaf from other medias to stand behind their own people. Not tomention, India peolpe shud also think of more that what just sellsbig. Else, there was no reason crucifying Symonds in the media for hisaction post-Sydney on one hand And on the other hand, handing out 1.3million to him for IPL.Dumbos @ BCCI, just open ur @#%^&*)*&^%%&* mind & embrace ICL for thebetterment of Indian cricket.
Phew, it has been a long emotional winter here in the US. But it endedjust perfect. Kya bowling attack dikh raha hain apna:1st String: Zaheer Khan, Ishant Sharma,R.P.Singh, Sreesanth,Bhaji2nd String: Irfan Pathan, Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel, ChawlaUV's form has been up & down though. Donno if Ganguly will be given alook in. With MSD at the helm of thigns, doesnt look like. The good thigns @ both finals:Bhajji claimed both Hayden & Symonds in both matches.. Wahey Guru DaKhalsa.. Wahey guru di Fateh ! the joy on his face was terrific & hemade sure the Aussie public knew @ it, after the win.
P.S. - Sreesanth's wicket of Hussey turned decisively in ourfavour.Yes, he was our best bowler last season but then, he didnt playfor 3 months , was recovering from an injury & was clobbered in thelast Sydney ODI against Australia... But he was really toned down interms of his antics today & bowled really well....Praveen kumar beingthe surprise package of both the finals !!!Hope this puts a stop to all SRT critics for some time (coz they wontrest until he dies) who say he doesnt perform while chasing & in bigmatches.. he did it twice in 2 matches now... and IMHO, hez the mainreason why we won the ODI series & didnt lose the test series 4-0.That reminds me .. in which hellh@le is Manjrekar right now?
Rumour has it that his contract has been renewed... under the clause that he write his opinion only when SRT is in a bad patch.. translates to being employed for some 2 -3 weeks a year.

Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown
I have been watching this India Australia series very keenly(to put itmildly), even if it means staying up the whole night for anrain-interrupted ODI or for 5 days of Test match cricket. But eversince the Sydney test, matters have gotten even more interesting.Never ever were we done in Big time as we were in the Sydney test.Hence, it was only sweet revenge that we won the Perth test. The 2-1Test series result, in my eyes, clearly belongs to India & neverAustralia. The big desi cricketing community here that I have beenexposed to over this period also seems to agree to this school ofthought primarily.
The subject of my email is something which Bhajji said, just a fewdays ago. They feel the crown is slipping & hence r getting moreaggressive @ it. It's however clear that the Aussies aren't what theyused to be and that's what worrying them. They lost a match each toIndia & SL & they almost lost 2 matches again to India. I , as acricket fan would have really liked the 1st match to continue whichwas rain-abandoned & our last one with them did give the aussies a"Goti-Galey-Mein" situation.
Yet, it's interesting the way the sledging has been handled. Cantunderstand it. The match referee admits that Ishant Sharma wasprovoked by Hayden & Symonds, yet fines him. Bhajji is probablyprovoked everytime he breathes out there, yet in the meeting, Symondswho has incited him time and again, is left clean in the hearing postthe test-series.
Big-Fat-Arse Hayden is let-off with a reprimand after publicly denuding Bhajji.Hayden haters, please go here :http://kingcricket.blogspot.com/search/label/Matthew%20Hayden
In any troubled environment, rarely have I ever seen the instigator goscot-free.In crime, one can always claim "killed the burglar/thief/mugger inself-defence" and walk out of the court being hailed as a brave man.
A cricket field is different. No lives are at stake, although you dooccasionally see the odd column @ some individual killing himself orsomeone else over a close cricket match. Per se, it's mostly someAsian country bumpkin.
But that doesn't mean you can say or do anything. I am honestly tiredof the gutter-mouthedness of the aussies. They call it their Aussiecode of conduct. F#ck their code of conduct.I m also tired of how lamethe ICC is, as an organization. If Ganguly or even Rashid Latif .whenthey were captain, claim a false catch , the goras hand themsuspensions while Ponting goes scott-free when he claims false catches& asks Indian reporters to take a hike in a press conference for notbelieving …err his integrity… huh ! Does he have any ???
It's such a shame everything India or the Indian board does & will do,in retaliation is taken as a case of a cash-rich board's arm twistingtactics. Aussies reporters are spending realms of pages on theinternet on writing "But he did it first, miss" syndrome thatapparently Indian cricketrs are suffering from… Can anyone tell mewhat are we supposed to do, tehn ? When, on a cricket field, someoneabuses your family , we are expected to…. Err….Just sit there and takeit on the chin? In the stomach? On the groin? Well, if it's a sport,is it the Aussie code of conduct to slam your family? As Ranatungasaid it once " We know what culture the Australian culture is derivedfrom". Oh , so true..
Again, it shows how the rules are lame when goras do it. Yes, I msaying it's a surely a racial thing going on there. Take into accountthis. Why else wud the Indian High commission issue a statement toIndians in Australia to avoid staying in Aussie-strong localities inAustralia, following increased attacks on Indians there?
You know, after we lost the Sydney test, I felt there was no God.Damage control was quick to follow in Perth.
Hence, it will only be poetic justice if we defeat them in the finals& take only the 1st 2 matches for it.
If we lose, then we haven't done too bad, in the old Indian mentalityoutlook !!! But if we win, then, in my eyes, then, we would have donethe impossible, Winning the test series 2-1(yes, we did win) and thelast of the CB series.. beating the aussies there. And I know who willbe the happiest members in the Indian team
Sure, that would make the Aussies feel like they have stuck up 5fingers with TIGER balm up their dirty asses! But , by then, who caresa f#ck !
